3 Quick, effective Ideas for Viral Content

Viral content, its about getting your ideas spread around the internet, getting other people selling you and your ideas.  Its what people will talk about, they will bookmark, it gets you real attention.

So how do you get started, here’s a few ideas you can try.

It’s a numbers game!

People love articles that have a number in the headline, a list of ideas that’s easy to read, and if they are a bit different with great titles, they will be passed on.

Some number headlines that I think are great:

  • 100 of the greatest movies.
  • 50 top places to work
  • 121 Jobs that don’t suck
  • The 8 simple rules to dating my teenage daughter
  • 100 top tips to taking a perfect photograph

So put some research and creativity into a list for your business.

People love things that make their lives easier, so find things your clients need help with, tools that you have used on-line and tell people about them

Become a Teacher

No matter what is out there, people generally want to learn how to do it. How do you fold that shirt so neatly? How do you shuffle poker chips like a pro? Teach us.

You can do the how to in two ways, through video, or by written instruction, but video is very powerful.  A fantastic example of this is How to Apply eye-liner or another is How to Twitter

They are both brilliant, and can be re-tweeted and passed around from site to site.  On the other hand, step-by-step articles work well too. An example is how to catch a rat.

So just three ideas, go on start today
