Why Blogging is a must for any financial advisor

Many of the financial advisors I speak to aren’t sure what internet marketing tools are available to them outside of a static web site. Most of the people I speak to in that field are very dedicated and very knowledgeable and I think blogging ids the perfect way for them to share that knowledge and speak to existing and potential customers.

WordPress is free and you can start it up in a few minutes. Blogging allows you to create the very essential personal brand you need on-line today, it allows you to share your views and ideas and create a relationship with your readers.

You can then market your posts using social media, like Facebook or Linked In, creating a facebook page with fans or a linked in group in your geographic location, put links up to your blog and start talking to people about who you are and how you can help. Remember Blogging is not a sales pitch, but a chance to share ideas and your expertise.

It seems that many professionals who run small service businesses believe that traditional networking is enough. But that’s not the case right now for, its more competitive than ever and it’s the perfect time to start doing something new when it comes to marketing yourself.
