Social Media Shop Case Study 1
Venture Network is a premier networking group in Ireland. Each group run needs to grow organically, headed up or managed by committed individuals. Like every business it needs new customers or members to grow and remain lively and effective.
Dan came to see me from his Network Group based in Sachs Hotel, Dublin. I have been luck to attend as a guest, and know that they are very well run and worth being a member of.
Dan wants to find a way to use Social Media to attract new members and engage his current group too.
We were luck to be joined by Greg Fry and his partner who always offer great advice.
We suggested the following ideas for Dan to explore.
To look at Meetup or Evenbrite to put up the weekly meetings, it will attract people, but makes it easy for anyone to share the link across all the social media channels.
Set up a linked in group to keep up the interaction in the group and offer anyone joining the group an incentive to come to the network , perhaps a guest pass they can down load, and members can give out to their contacts.
Use polls to create positive reports, for instance ask what their biggest marketing challenge is, then get a sales specialist in the group to collate a report that addresses their problems and gives examples of how their group will assist them to overcome the issues.
I suggested starting a you tube channel with short videos of members talking about the positive effects that Venture has had on their business. Video puts a face to the group and will make it more inviting for people, who will feel that they know the group before they visit.
Thank you Dan
