Getting the right touches!

Thanks to a number of fantastic contributions when I asked about the top marketing trends for 2011, I have my own ideas, but love to hear from other people that I follow.

Greg Fry sent me a few phrases, one I had not heard of before “Right Touching” – well I use the approach, but had not heard the term, so I looked it up, and thought you may be interested in the definition too.

In marketing, it’s common to say that  effective communication is about delivering the right message to the right audience at the right time. That’s true, but the reality in multi-channel marketing is more complex:

Right Touching is:

Multi-channel Communications Strategy

Customised for Individual Prospects and Customers forming segments

Across a defined customer lifecycle

Delivers the Right Message

Featuring the Right Value Proposition (product, service or experience)

With the Right Tone

At the Right Time

With the RighFrequency and Interval

Using the Right MediaCommunications channels

To achieve…

Right balance of value between both parties
