Free Images that will make you happy!

I am always looking for images for client campaigns, images that are different and ideally free. So I am delighted to share a site with you ….. it’s a creative common site, meaning you can use the images as long as you attribute them to the photographer, these are a great option, but can be hard to source and to really understand, that is they were until now.

Photopin searches creative commons images and give you results based on your request, but more importantly it comes with the commercial license, allowing you to include them in your blog.  But for me I love the feature that gives you the code to paste into your blog post to make sure you are accrediting the picture correctly.

Let’s see how it works:

Type in the search term … I selected Happy

Then select commercial on the left hand side

Then select get photo and select the size and download

Then copy and past the HTML in to the bottom of your Blog post

For WordPress go to the post that you are going to insert the image into paste in the HTML that you copied from the PhotoPin site

Upload the image you have downloaded as usual into your post and the attribution will appear at the bottom of your blog post

Images can make a blog come alive and research shows that readers are more likely to read a blog if it contains images.
